My twin brother Stephen and I had jumped the tram from the Altstadt ( Heindrich Heine Allee ) over the Oberkasseler Brücke to the Oberkassel neighbourhood were we had a good day planned out visiting the wonderful Oberkassel Christmas Market and the superb Brauhaus Alter...Bahnhof ( brewpub ) and a few of our favourite pubs in Dusseldorf such Brauereiauschank Schlüssel, after visiting the Christmas market, the brewpub and a few pubs we were in need of a meal and decided to drop into Dorfstube and again we had a very pleasant time in here. Main courses were very Bavarian - cutlet of young venison ( red deer ) with oxtail ravioli ( amazing ) pumpkin purée, Pak Choi and juniper sauce and medium fried venison from their own estate ( roe deer ) creamy Savoy cabbage and bread dumplings.

Finished with classic Kaisserschmarrn with plum compote and vanilla ice cream. ,6pm till 11pm.
